We will need:
• Diode tape (waterproof) - 2 segments of 30 cm;
• wire - 5 m;
• dad-mom terminals - 4 pairs;
• soldering iron;
• electrical tape;
• transparent adhesive sealant.
First you need to prepare the modules for the backlight. To do this, take a diode strip and from one of the ends solder along the wire to each of the two contacts ("+" and "-"). It will be enough to make each wire 15 cm long. We do the same with the second segment of the tape.
After fixing the wires, fill the soldering place with sealant.
For ease of installation and dismantling, we will make the module removable: we equip the ends of the tape wires with the “mother” terminals. Accordingly, we are also preparing 4 wires with male terminals.
The backlight modules are ready, go to the installation. Installation is quite simple: first we remove the door trim, then we remove 2 wires from each door through the hinges (those that were with the “male” terminals, the terminals should remain stuck out of the door). These are "+" and "-" for our highlight. We extend both pluses to any permanent plus in the car (for example, we attach to the plus cable of the cigarette lighter). Each of the negative backlight wires we hook to the corresponding limit switch in the door (right door - right limit switch, left - left). This is to ensure that each door is illuminated independently of the others.
We connect the diode tapes with the terminals "father" and check the performance. If everything is shining as it should, we boldly fasten the tape to the skin from the bottom and fasten the skin to its place.
Now you do not have to randomly get out of the car in the dark, and your shoes will remain clean. Successful implementation!
