In the manufacture of any wooden products, grinding of individual parts is required. And without a grinding machine can not do.
In this review, the author shows how to make a budget version of the 2 in 1 grinding machine for the home workshop.
The first step is to grind the round shaft from the bar. This can be done on a lathe or with homemade appliances.

After that, along the entire length of the wooden shaft, it will be necessary to make longitudinal grooves. The author does this operation on a circular saw.
The main stages of work
In the grooves, the author inserts pieces of sandpaper ("petals"), and then fixes them from the end with self-tapping screws.
At the next stage, the author cuts two pieces of the board, drills holes in them and presses the bearings in.
We make the basis of plywood. We fasten the racks from the boards to it. We put the drum with the "petals" on the metal shaft, which we then insert into the bearings.
We fasten two bars to the base, and install an electric motor on them. We connect the motor shaft to the shaft on which the drum is located.
At the last stage, it remains only to make a wooden disk, to which the master glues the grinding wheel.
Then it will be necessary to cut and fix the working surface for drum grinding and the working table for disk grinding.
