Have you been dreaming about a concrete mixer for a long time, but don’t know which one to choose for your home? Make a concrete mixer with your own hands, and then it will definitely suit you.

You will need a 200 liter metal barrel, an engine from the washing machine, and some other parts that are easy to get.

First of all, the author makes the markup, cuts off the neck and cuts off the upper part of the barrel. Then, with the help of a grinder, you need to make slots for marking.

Next, with the help of hands and a hammer, bend the "petals". Then they will need to be welded. The author puts on the neck of the barrel on these "petals" (first it needs to be reduced in diameter) and scald.

The main stages of work

The next step will require a car wheel. With the help of angle grinders, we cut off everything unnecessary, and then it will be necessary to cut out the central part.

After that, we weld together two previously cut sides of the rim, and we get a pulley.

Using pieces of a profile pipe of rectangular cross section, the author decided to strengthen the bottom of the barrel. From above, the master bolts the cut out part of the rim onto the bolts.

From the profile pipe 25x50 mm, the master welds the frame for the concrete mixer. It consists of two racks that are connected by a jumper, and a traverse mounted on hinges.

To the traverse, you need to weld the platform to which the car hub is attached, and to it is the previously cut part of the rim.

At the last stage, it remains only to fix the engine on the frame of the concrete mixer. Next, install a large pulley and pull the belt.

Homemade pulley must be welded to the profile pipes, which are used to reinforce the lower part (bottom) of the barrel.
