In this review, the author shows how to make an electric drive for a skewer with your own hands. To do this, you need a motor from car wipers with a gearbox, as well as part of a bicycle frame with a drive sprocket and a connecting rod with a pedal.

An electric drive for a skewer is a very convenient thing. You do not have to constantly be near the skewer, while the meat or carcasses of the bird will slowly rotate and evenly fry.

A square-shaped metal plate must be welded to the bicycle frame, to which then an electric motor will be attached from the car wipers with a gearbox.

The main stages of work

On the shaft to which the connecting rod of the bicycle is fixed, the author puts on a piece of steel round pipe. First, using a drill in the pipe itself and in the shaft, you need to drill one through hole for the screw.

Fastenings from a profile pipe 20x20 mm are welded to the bicycle frame - for legs, which the author also decided to make from the profile, but with a smaller section (15x15 mm).

At the next stage, it remains only to clean all the parts from rust and then paint them with spray paint. After that, you can proceed to the assembly of the electric drive.

Please note that the author has welded the links of the bicycle chain onto the shaft of the gearbox of the engine of the car wipers, which ensures the coupling of the shaft with the drive sprocket.
