It is very difficult to do without a grinding machine in a home workshop or garage. And if there is no way to buy grinding machines, you can make it yourself. The motor from the washing machine will serve as a drive.
The peculiarity of this design lies in the fact that the grinding machine is "complete" with the table. The main material for making a table is chipboard.
First of all, it will be necessary to saw the workpieces from chipboard to assemble the table, which is also the basis of the grinding machine. Sizes may be different - at your discretion.
The next step will require a sleeve that the master puts on the motor shaft. In this case, the sleeve itself is plastic (a sleeve for connecting pipes).
After that, the author proceeds to the assembly of a table (base) for a grinding machine from previously sawn blanks from chipboard.
The main stages of work
The author inserts a piece of plastic pipe suitable in diameter into the plastic sleeve. This will be the drive roller for the sanding belt.
Two holes must be drilled in the countertop: one for the drive roller, the second for the follower. The second roller is also made of plastic pipe, but in this case, the author also used bearings.
At the last stage, it remains only to install a support plate between the two rollers. Usually it is made of metal, but the author uses a blank of chipboard.
