However, even a very old chair can be restored, and it will please you with its appearance for more than a year.
The first step is to remove the old belts, foam and seat trim, since all this is in very poor condition. As a result, only the metal frame should remain. It must be treated with a solvent to remove residual adhered foam.
Step-by-step process of quick restoration of an old chair
At the next stage, the master applies glue for foam rubber to the surface of the metal frame, then wraps it with a sling (or you can use any tight belts).
Further on a sling it will be necessary to stick a dense spanbond (polymer non-woven fabric). This is necessary so that the foam does not cut the sling, which will lie on top.
Since the seat is under increased load, it is additionally advisable to stick a couple more layers of batting. And the foreman also reinforces the front with a spanbond. Then the foam rubber itself is pasted.
At the last stage, the foam seams are reinforced with a thin spanbond, and then everything is also glued over with synthetic winterizer. And then a stitched case is put on.
