A reliable wooden chair for a home or summer house can be made with your own hands, using a minimum of tools for this. And as the main material suitable coniferous wood (pine, spruce).
Making any chair begins with a sketch. You can also use ready-made drawings (can be downloaded on the Internet). And then it will be necessary to file the blanks that will be needed for assembly.
You will need to make big and small legs, drawers, sleeves, a seat and the back of a chair. And also for the manufacture of a chair you will need wooden dowels.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, it will be necessary to drill holes in the dowel blanks. Then you can start assembling the compounds for PVA glue.
Please note that when gluing the workpieces, the glue comes out on the surface of the product, then do not rush to wipe it. Wait about 15-20 minutes, then cut carefully with a knife. If you wipe fresh glue, then a stain will remain.
Next, you will need to prepare boards for gluing the seat. In this case, the master sawed 4 boards 100 mm wide and one board 50 mm wide. The length of the blanks for the seat is 450 mm.
At the last stage, we draw the contours of the chair with a pencil, and then we cut it out with an electric jigsaw. A back is also made.
