If you have an old powder fire extinguisher lying around in your workshop or garage, do not throw it in a landfill - having a little imagination, you can make an unusual table lamp out of it, which will become the main focus of the interior of the room. In general, it will make "candy" out of trash.

The main stages of work

First of all, we unscrew the fire extinguisher valve and pour the powder into a bag or bucket. Then we cut off the lower supporting “shoe” with a grinder, make a marking and cut the case in half - it is desirable that the two halves are the same.

We clean the surface of the fire extinguisher cylinder with a cleaning disk. Next, we drill a hole in the lower end part. Using a plasma cutter, it is necessary to cut two blanks from a steel sheet in the form of a fire flame. The template can be drawn by hand and download the picture on the Internet.

These decorative elements are welded to the lower half of the container. Then we start working with the second part of the fire extinguisher - we clean it from paint and cut off the neck. A washer of suitable size must be welded to the hole.

Assembly assembly

We cut out a few more “tongues of flame” from sheet metal and weld them to the cut-off cover of the fire extinguisher. Two nuts with neodymium magnets are welded from the inside of the stand, and another hole for a two-wire wire is drilled in the side wall.

At the last stage of work, we fasten the flexible stand from the old Soviet lamp, and collect all the details in a single design. We put on a rack a piece of steel pipe, decorated with decorative elements. The result is an unusual table lamp that can be used both in the workshop and at home.
