From unnecessary scraps of polypropylene reinforced pipes, you can make a homemade band saw for use in a home workshop. In addition to the PP pipes themselves, fitting elements are also required: 90-degree bends, corner tees, plugs and U-shaped fasteners. An electric jigsaw will be used as a drive of this design.
Using special scissors for cutting polypropylene plastic pipes, we cut off the workpieces of the right size, which will be used to make the frame. Then on the pipes it is necessary to clean the place for soldering - this can be done manually or using a special nozzle for a screwdriver.
Construction Assembly Steps
Using a welding iron, we join together eight pipe segments of the same length and four corner tees. One tube must be cut in half and connected with a regular tee. Then, from the plywood or board, we cut out the working surface of the machine, which is attached to the frame using U-shaped fasteners.
On the back of the wooden tabletop we make a "landing nest" under the sole of the jigsaw. The standard file needs to be slightly modified, and to connect the two saw blades to each other, you can use the usual metal terminal. Next, a jigsaw is screwed to the table and a vertical stand "with an arrow" is installed.
A piece of metal tube with a spring, to which the saw blade is attached, is installed in a 90-degree bend at the end of the "boom". The lower part of the blade is fixed on a modified jigsaw file. For a detailed process of manufacturing and assembling a mini-machine, see the video on the website.
