To make a biker’s knife, you first need to draw a template by hand or print it already ready on the printer, after downloading the sample from the Internet. You will also need a rectangular plate made of good tool steel, preferably stainless.
Step-by-step process for making a biker knife
Having drawn or printed a paper template, we cut it out with scissors and apply it to a steel billet. Then we cover with spray paint from a spray can, after which we remove the template and cut the workpiece with a grinder, after drilling a hole with a step drill in the handle.
At the next stage, we take a file in our hands and process the edges of the workpiece. Then, using a grinder, you need to make the cutting edge of the knife. On the upper part of the handle it is necessary to cut small teeth (like on a gear), after which we lightly grind the surface of the canvas and apply three wavy lines to the front surface - they allow you to get a more expressive visual effect.
After roughing, we temper the blade in the standard way and proceed to finish grinding, and then immerse the knife for 15 minutes in a special etching solution to get the effect of “aging”. We make a wooden handle, attach it to epoxy glue and you can show the exclusive biker knife to friends.
